JENDER, founded on May 16, 2024, held its first general assembly meeting on July 12. JENDER (ASSOCIATION OF GENERATOR INDUSTRIALISTS AND POWER SYSTEMS) aims to showcase the strength and potential of the Turkish generator manufacturing industry to the world. Established with the efforts of leading companies in the sector, Jender represents the Turkish generator and power systems manufacturing industry, which has a turnover of $1.5 billion and exports to nearly 180 countries, as a "Source of Uninterrupted Energy and Power."
Power and Goals of the Sector: The Turkish generator manufacturing industry accounts for 6% of the global diesel generator sector and is ranked second worldwide in the 75-375 kVA power range. Turkish generator manufacturers, members of Jender, hold a competitive position globally. With more than 20 major producers in Turkey, the sector directly employs 10,000 people and indirectly supports 40,000. Overall, the sector offers job opportunities for over 100,000 individuals through more than 1,000 producers and suppliers. The sector's goal is to deliver Turkish-branded generators to 200 countries worldwide. Currently, it holds a 5% share of the global market with $800 million in domestic and export sales. Diesel generator exports account for 2.4% of Turkey's total exports.
MISSION OF JENDER: Jender was established to uncover the global market potential of Turkish generator manufacturers, enhance the perception of the Turkish brand, and position these manufacturers as more effective players. Our primary goals are to:
- Find solutions to the sector’s problems,
- Ensure quality and capacity development, increase the reputation of Turkish products and provide value-added products and services, improve net export capabilities,
- Collaborate with public institutions, organizations, and relevant entities both domestically and internationally,
- Contribute to the development of technical and regulatory legislation and standards,
- Organize educational activities, certifications, workshops, congresses, etc., related to the sector.
As Jender, we will work with all our strength to advance the development of the Turkish generator and power systems manufacturing sector and enhance its effectiveness in the global market.

Purpose of the Association

The purpose of the association is to gather companies producing generators, cogeneration, trigeneration, renewable energy-connected hybrid systems, diesel, natural gas, LPG, propane, synthesis gas, biogas, and other gas and hydrogen-fueled power systems, electric storage, alternators, containers, control systems, and other power systems components under one roof, to solve sectoral problems, ensure quality and capacity development, organize educational, certification, workshop, congress, and similar events related to the sector, collaborate with public institutions, organizations, and relevant entities domestically and internationally, increase the reputation of Turkish products abroad and provide value-added products and services, contribute to the development of technical and regulatory legislation and standards, promote competence improvement and the dissemination of best practices, and enhance the net export capability of Turkey's economy.
a. Area of Activity of the Association:
The association operates to enhance and develop the activities related to the production, sale, marketing, export, and after-sales services of generators and power systems, and to collaborate with national and international individuals, institutions, and organizations engaged in these activities.
