Jender (Generators Manufacturers and Power Systems Association), established to unlock the global potential of Turkish generator manufacturers, strengthen the perception of the Turkish brand, and position these manufacturers as more effective players, held its first general assembly meeting on July 12.
The association aims to promote the strength and potential of Turkey's generator manufacturing industry to the world, representing the Turkish generator and power systems manufacturing sector, which has a turnover of 1.5 billion USD and exports to nearly 180 countries, as a "Source of Uninterrupted Energy and Power."
INDUSTRY STRENGTH AND GOALS
The Turkish generator manufacturing industry accounts for 6% of the global diesel generator sector and ranks second worldwide in the 75-375 kVA power range. Jender member Turkish generator manufacturers, among the world's largest generator producers, hold a competitive position globally. In Turkey, over 20 main producers provide direct employment to 10,000 people and indirect employment to 40,000 people. The sector, with more than 1,000 producers and suppliers, offers job opportunities to over 100,000 people.
The sector aims to deliver Turkish-branded generators to 200 countries worldwide. Currently, it holds a 5% share in the global market with 800 million USD in domestic and export sales. Diesel generator exports account for 2.4% of Turkey's total exports.
Jender's Chairman, Mr. Rıdvan Özer, stated, "As Jender, we will continue our efforts to represent Turkey's generator and power systems manufacturing sector in the best possible way globally and to enhance the quality and reputation of Turkish-branded generators. Our goal is to make our sector more competitive in global markets and to make a positive contribution to our country's economic balance."
